दूसरे छात्रों ने बताया कि पास की लैब में अलर्ट मिलते ही वे डेस्क के नीचे छिप गए और लाइटें बंद कर दीं। पूरा कैंपस खामोश और डरा हुआ था। यूनिवर्सिटी के प्रोवोस्ट फ्रांसिस डोयल ने कहा कि एग्जाम के समय यह सब होना बहुत भयानक है। वे यह पता लगा रहे हैं कि बिल्डिंग में उस वक्त कौन-कौन था।
